To be eligible for the EPFO Social Security Assistant and Stenographer recruitment 2023, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Age limit: The candidate must be between 18 to 27 years of age as of the last date of application. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to certain categories as per the government rules.
- Educational qualification: The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution.
EPFO Social Security Assistant and Stenographer 2023: Exam Pattern
The EPFO Social Security Assistant and Stenographer recruitment exam will be conducted in two phases – Phase I and Phase II.
Phase I will be an online exam consisting of objective type questions. The exam will have three sections – English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical Aptitude. The duration of the exam will be one hour.
Phase II will also be an online exam consisting of objective type questions. The exam will have two sections – Reasoning/Intelligence and General Awareness. The duration of the exam will be two hours.
EPFO Social Security Assistant and Stenographer 2023: Syllabus
The syllabus for the EPFO Social Security Assistant and Stenographer recruitment exam is as follows:
- English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Detection, Para Jumbles, Synonyms/Antonyms, Idioms and Phrases, etc.
- Reasoning Ability: Alphanumeric Series, Ranking/Direction/Alphabet Test, Data Sufficiency, Coded Inequalities, Seating Arrangement, Puzzle, etc.
- Numerical Aptitude: Simplification/Approximation, Quadratic Equations, Data Interpretation, Number Series, Average, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, etc.
- Reasoning/Intelligence: Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, etc.
- General Awareness: Current Events, History, Geography, Indian Polity and Constitution, Economy, etc.

The application process for the EPFO Social Security Assistant and Stenographer recruitment will be conducted online. Candidates can visit the official website of EPFO and apply online by filling out the application form and paying the required fee.
Application Fees
- For individuals belonging to the categories of SC/ST/PwD/Female/Ex-Servicemen, there is no fee for the service. However, for all other individuals, the fee for the service is Rs. 700/-. Payment can be made through various modes, including Debit Card, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
