About Us:

Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi had launched this scheme on 17 September 2023 on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. Its objective is to provide assistance to traditional craftsmen and artisans in their skills and financial condition.

This scheme is a new scheme of the government. Its aim is to help people who work in traditional crafts and industries get financial assistance and training. The main objective of this scheme is to promote traditional crafts and industries and improve the living conditions of those working in these sectors.

Eligibility Criteria:

Who can apply – Under this scheme, people working in 18 fields can take advantage of it. These include masons, barbers, gardeners, washermen, tailors, locksmiths, carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, gunsmiths, sculptors, shoe makers, boat makers, basket/mat/broom makers, doll and toy makers, hammer and toolkit makers, fishing net makers, can also register on the PM Vishwakarma Yojana portal through the Choice Center to take advantage of this scheme. 15 days of training will be given in this scheme. During the training, the person will get Rs. 7500/- at the rate of Rs. 500/- per day, then after training, Rs. 15000/- and a tool will be given. Under this scheme, eligible people will be provided an amount of Rs 3 lakh by the government at a concessional interest rate of 5 percent. In the first phase, eligible persons will be given a loan of Rs 1 lakh, while in the second phase there is a provision of Rs 2 lakh.
